On May 2, team members at the Work Ethic Camp (WEC) in McCook, NE hosted a reentry fair for incarcerated individuals preparing to return to the community. Several agencies from across Nebraska were represented including colleges, housing programs, and employment services. On April 30, Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) celebrated its second K9 graduation. Six Handlers received certificates of completion and two Handlers became certified trainers. TSCI Handlers have found a great sense of accomplishment and passion for this program. One Handler stated during graduation the K9 program is “the first and only program he has participated in during his 30 years of incarceration”.
