November 30, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that 12 staff members with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) are positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff members are employed at the following locations: Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (5), Lincoln Correctional Center (4), Omaha Correctional Center (1), Work Ethic Camp (1), and the Nebraska State Penitentiary (1). November 29, 2020 (Tecumseh, Neb.) – Todd Shade #47016, age 47, died shortly after 11:00 a.m. today at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). His sentence started on March 7, 1995. He was sentenced 33 years and four months to 100 years for two counts of first degree sexual assault on a child out of Lancaster County.

November 28, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Frank Johns #83335, age 51, died on November 27, 2020 at Bryan Medical Center-West. He was incarcerated at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP).

Johns started serving his sentence on January 6, 2016. He was sentenced 16- to 20-years on a combination of charges out of York, Hall, Buffalo, Lincoln, and Merrick counties that involved issuing bad checks, theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking.

November 26, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Brandon Imes #85877 did not return as scheduled this morning from his work assignment in the community. The electronic monitoring device he was wearing was disabled.
