December 19, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that nine staff members with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) are positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff members are employed at the following locations: Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (6), Community Corrections Center-Omaha (2) and the Lincoln Correctional Center (1). All of the staff members are self-isolating at home.

NDCS to relaunch inmate visitation at five facilities

December 15, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) will relaunch the inmate visitation program at five facilities starting December 23, 2020. Visits will be scheduled and approved in advance and will be carried out under specific guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19.
