January 5, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Bryce Kummer #6666, age 62, died on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Diagnostic and Evaluation Center (DEC). Kummer was placed with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) by Platte County for safekeeping.

While the cause of death has yet to be determined, Kummer was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, a grand jury...Read more

Frakes announced that an initial box of the Moderna vaccine for COVID-19 has been received by the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). Later this week, the first 50 doses will be given to health staff members who wish to be vaccinated.

January 2, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Anna Berg #392332 did not return from her work assignment in the community on January 1, 2021. The electronic monitoring device she was wearing was found inside a trash can just north of 27th and Cornhusker in Lincoln.

Berg started serving her sentence on February 3, 2020. She was sentenced to three years in prison on two counts...Read more
