Incarcerated youth at the Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility (NCYF) held a talent show on Oct. 17. The show was centered around The Pen Project, a quarterly art magazine that gives voices to the incarcerated. Not only did the talent show feature poems, stories, art and musical talent from the NCYF population, but also from volunteers in the community.Read more

Over 60 incarcerated women participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Nebraska at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW) on Oct. 15. This was NCCW's fifth year taking part in the fundraiser, and the group raised over $900.Read more

The Salvage Project performed two concerts in the religious center at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) on Sept. 25. Founded by band leader Jeromy Darling, the group says their mission is "to re-purpose forgotten people and broken lives through music and stories that transmit the saving power and grace of Jesus Christ."Read more
