As part of the Angle Tree program, the First Presbyterian Church in York recently donated gifts to the children in the nursery at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW). Pastor Mike Eickhoff (who is also a volunteer instructor at NCCW) delivered the packages to smiling faces.Read more

Since the summer of 2016, Lucy Wallace has taught three teacher training seminars at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW). Wallace co-founded Dance To Be Free (DTBF), an organization that aims to change the trajectory of women in prison through dance. Since 2015, DTBF has trained over 100 incarcerated women as dance teachers, giving them a healthy hobby and skill to practice as they fulfill their sentences and return to their communities. Team members at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) held their second annual ugly Christmas sweater contest on Dec. 21. Prizes were awarded to the first, second and third place winners. Thanks to all those who were brave enough to participate!Read more

The Prison Fellowship Academy at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW) held their "Monday Night Live" event on Dec. 18. Singers from the Heritage Bible Church helped them celebrate the holidays. The group led those in attendance in song and scripture reading.Read more
