TSCI staff members injured in assault

CSI to begin production of hand sanitizer, gowns and masks

March 22, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Two inmates assaulted four staff members at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) on the morning of March 21, 2020. One of the staff members sustained a serious* injury.

NDCS suspends inmate visitation amid COVID-19

March 16, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Visitation with inmates housed in the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) has been suspended indefinitely amid concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19). NDCS inmate dies

March 15, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – A 53-year old inmate at the Diagnostic and Evaluation Center (DEC) was taken to the hospital and declared deceased shortly before 8:00 a.m. after being found unresponsive by facility staff this morning.

Inmate missing from community correctional facility

March 13, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Gabriel Magana-Cordova was found to be missing shortly after count was conducted at the facility this morning. Transaction records indicate that he withdrew money from an ATM machine a few hours earlier.
