TSCI inmate death

August 4, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Ronnie Main #35697, age 71, died at 12:05 p.m. on August 4, 2020 at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). His sentence started on December 29, 1983. Main was serving a 20- to 80-year sentence for two counts of first degree sexual assault out of Cheyenne County.

NDCS staff member positive for COVID-19

August 3, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that a staff member with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) is positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff member is employed at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). The person is self-isolating at home.

Inmate missing from community correctional facility

August 1, 2020 (Omaha, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate who walked away from the Community Corrections Center-Omaha (CCC-O). Matthew Saxton #210110 was supposed to go to his job in the community but went to a girlfriend’s residence instead. She contacted authorities after she and Saxton had an argument. He removed the electronic monitoring device he was wearing and left the area.
