NDCS staff member positive for COVID-19

August 1, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that a staff member with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) is positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff member is employed at the Diagnostic and Evaluation Center (DEC). The person is self-isolating at home.

Staff member assaulted at LCC

July 29, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate at the Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC) assaulted a staff member on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, resulting in a serious* injury.

Inmate missing from community correctional facility

July 24, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate who walked away from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L) around 6:30 p.m. on July 23, 2020. A facility staff member reported spotting Scott Underwood #89985 at South Coddington and West Van Dorn Street. Additional staff members searched the area but were not able to locate him.
