July 4, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O). John Strickland #212451 left the facility today without authorization. He removed the electronic monitoring device he was wearing in the area of 42nd and Cuming in Omaha.

July 2, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – James Trebilcock #210697, age 72, died this morning at an Omaha hospital. He was incarcerated at the Omaha Correctional Center (OCC). Trebilcock’s sentence started November 25, 2019. He was serving a 12 to 20 year sentence for third degree sexual assault of a child and attempted first degree sexual assault out of Douglas County.

July 1, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Seth Straub #212998 left his work assignment in the community this morning and did not return to the facility.

June 30, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – An inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) is in custody at the Douglas County Correctional Center. Tyler Williams #88637 was arrested following a foot pursuit at the scene of an apartment building fire at Park Avenue and Shirley Streets in Omaha after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29. June 27, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O). Semaj Ross #81981 walked out of the facility overnight, activating an alarm at a fire exit. Shortly thereafter, he removed the electronic monitoring device he was wearing. It was recovered by staff on East Locust Road in Omaha.

June 26, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Clyde Hicks #84549, age 91, died on June 25, 2022 at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. His sentence began on September 15, 2016. Hicks was serving a 15 to 20 year sentence for first degree sexual assault on a child out of Hall County.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation....Read more

June 22, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who disappeared from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) last week, has returned to the facility on his own. Gary Filip #70848 turned himself in at CCC-L earlier today. Authorities were notified on June 14 that he failed to return to the facility following a work assignment in the community.
