November 17, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O). Robert Moss #215151 left the facility today without authorization. The electronic monitoring device he was wearing was removed and located by staff members near a shopping center about a mile from CCC-O. When they spotted Moss nearby, he ran off. They provided Omaha police officers with his last known location.

November 11, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – The evacuation of a housing unit yesterday at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) resulted from a burst pipe. One-hundred and thirty-four men were moved. The majority were relocated to a new housing unit at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC). Alternative housing was also identified within NSP and RTC.

November 10, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) Interim Director Diane Sabatka-Rine announced the retirement of one warden and the appointment of another at the Work Ethic Camp (WEC) in McCook, NE.

Pam Morello will retire on February 2, 2023. She leaves NDCS with more than 21 years of service. Morello has been warden at WEC since July 2011.

November 10, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing yesterday from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) is hospitalized following a crash. An officer with the Lincoln Police Department notified the facility that Christopher Manzer #44660 was taken into custody last night following a collision with a semi-truck at Highway 2 and 13th Street. November 10, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – A water leak has prompted the relocation of almost 140 inmates from a housing unit at the Nebraska State Penitentiary. The majority of the inmates were moved into the gymnasium overnight. Plans are underway to move those individuals to more permanent housing, while assessment continues into what prompted the leak and identifying necessary repairs.

November 9, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – Terry Inness #73246, age 75, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC). His sentence started March 16, 2011. He was serving a 30- to 40-year sentence for two counts of attempted first degree sexual assault of a child out of Lancaster County.

November 2, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) is back in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). Krista Foley #392770 was arrested by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, October 28. She disappeared on September 25, 2022 during a preapproved visit to a community church.
