April 6, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – An inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) has been arrested. Kendall McNeese #210449 was taken into custody on March 29, 2022 by the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.

McNeese left CCC-O on February 24, 2022. He started his sentence on October 21, 2019. McNeese was sentenced to eight years to 13 years on charges out of Douglas County including first degree assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a...Read more

April 5, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – A staff person and two inmates from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L), were involved in a two-vehicle crash last night at 11th and L Street. All three were taken to the hospital for assessment of their injuries. The transportation van driver and one inmate remain hospitalized.

March 31, 2022 (York, Neb.) – Nicole Eliker (40), a corporal at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW), was arrested Wednesday, March 30, 2022, by the Nebraska State Patrol for unauthorized communication with a committed offender (Neb. Rev. Stat. §83-417). The person with whom she is accused of interacting is currently on parole supervision.

March 21, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O). Deonte Hill #210844 was seen on security video leaving the facility earlier this evening. Shortly afterward, he disabled the electronic monitoring device he was wearing near 33rd and Curtis Avenue.

March 19, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing last month from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) has been arrested in Scottsbluff. Authorities say they located John Nereson #211183 while investigating a report of someone living near a storage center. Scottsbluff police arrested him on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

Nereson disappeared on February 24, 2022 after leaving CCC-L and walking toward a bus stop. His sentence started on February 18, 2020. Nereson...Read more

March 15, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Daniel Gondringer #41354, age 51, died the evening of March 14, 2022 at a hospital in Lincoln. He was incarcerated at the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L).

Gondringer’s sentence started September 21, 1990. He was serving a sentence of 33 years and four months to life for charges out of Platte County including second degree murder, kidnapping and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

March 14, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Melvin Stamper #63119, age 53, died the evening of March 13, 2022 at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP). His sentence began on November 18, 2005. Stamper was serving an 18- to 34-year sentence for two counts of robbery and possession of a deadly weapon by a felon. The charges originated out of Buffalo and Lincoln County.
