May 4, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) has been returned to the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). Officers with the Omaha Police Department took Jonathan Walker-Hernandez #213336 into custody shortly after 6:00 p.m. yesterday at North 11th Street and Avenue H East in Omaha. He failed to return to CCC-O on Tuesday, May 3, after leaving his place of work.

May 3, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O). Jonathan Walker-Hernandez #213336 left his job in the community earlier this afternoon and did not return to the facility as scheduled.

Walker-Hernandez started his sentence June 14, 2021. He was sentenced to two to three years on a charge out of Douglas County for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. He has a parole eligibility...Read more

April 19, 2022 (Omaha, NE.) – An inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) has been arrested by the Omaha Police Department. Brandon Bridgeford #74614 was taken into custody on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 36th and L Street. He has been charged with flight to avoid arrest and theft of a stolen vehicle.

April 13, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Nikki Peterson (32), a unit administrator at the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L), was arrested today by the Nebraska State Patrol for unauthorized communication with a committed offender (Neb. Rev. Stat. §83-417) and sexual abuse of an inmate (Neb. Rev. Stat. §28-322.01). Both are felony offenses.

April 6, 2022 (Omaha, Neb.) – An inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) has been arrested. Kendall McNeese #210449 was taken into custody on March 29, 2022 by the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.

McNeese left CCC-O on February 24, 2022. He started his sentence on October 21, 2019. McNeese was sentenced to eight years to 13 years on charges out of Douglas County including first degree assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a...Read more

April 5, 2022 (Lincoln, Neb.) – A staff person and two inmates from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L), were involved in a two-vehicle crash last night at 11th and L Street. All three were taken to the hospital for assessment of their injuries. The transportation van driver and one inmate remain hospitalized.

March 31, 2022 (York, Neb.) – Nicole Eliker (40), a corporal at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW), was arrested Wednesday, March 30, 2022, by the Nebraska State Patrol for unauthorized communication with a committed offender (Neb. Rev. Stat. §83-417). The person with whom she is accused of interacting is currently on parole supervision.
