Today at the Staff Training Academy we welcomed the newest NDCS teammates. After six weeks of pre-service training, this group has created strong bonds and cheered one other on as each graduate’s name was called. It was a full house of family and friends supporting the graduates as they launch their NDCS careers.

Representatives from Peru State College also joined us to recognize the eight officer interns in this class who will be part of the Corrections Leadership Scholarship Program — a fantastic opportunity for students to develop valuable skills that will prepare them to become future NDCS leaders. https://www.peru....Read more

We prioritize wellness across the agency. This includes incarcerated individuals, as well as the teammates who have committed to serve the public and keep people safe. Self-care looks different for everyone. That is why NDCS recognizes a multi-dimensional wellness program with varying education and resources.

The work of NDCS is identified by four separate, but overlapping, categories: People, Programs, Policies and Physical Plant. Known as the “4 Ps,” they provide the framework for our strategic planning efforts. #...Read more
