Education is vital to improving lives and reducing recidivism, making teachers an invaluable resource at the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we thank all of our educators that contribute to bettering those in our care at NDCS. Corrections Appreciation Week Spotlight: NSP property control corporal thankful for teammates

Leadership can be shown in a variety of ways throughout a person’s career. For Property Control Corporal Amanda Quinton, she shows it through improving efficiency at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP). Quinton has been with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) for more than a year. In that time, her supervisors have seen her dedication to NSP and her drive to help where she can. Claw Out Corona continues to lift spirits

In an effort to boost spirits and help bring people together during the COVID-19 pandemic, teammates at the Nebraska State Penitentiary have had fun participating in the “Claw out the Corona” challenge.
