Jeremy Elder is a good egg. But it wasn’t in the spirit of Easter that he dyed his hair orange. Instead, it was to support the Annual State Campaign Against Hunger. Elder, who oversees Cornhusker State Industries (CSI) set a goal for his teammates to collect $750 and 40 nonperishable food items. Needless to say, his team crushed it – donating in excess of $900. Now Deputy Elder is rocking his new orange hairstyle. Donated food items will help fill backpacks for the backpack program with the Food Bank of Lincoln. Thanks to all NDCS team members who gave!Read more

These organizations provide services to the community in education, mental health, vocational training and much more. Learning more about community resources, forming partnerships and brainstorming ways we can work together to make a...Read more

Our reentry team walks alongside incarcerated individuals in the release and reentry process. Reentry specialists typically meet with individuals in our facilities for reentry orientation within the first few weeks of incarceration. During that meeting, participants learn how best to utilize their incarceration time and ways to better themselves.

Throughout incarceration, our highly skilled reentry team encourages participation in programming and treatment that will help individuals to lead safe and productive lives in their communities. As individuals near release, the reentry team provides resources and comprehensive...Read more
