Inmate missing from community correctional facility

April 7, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Raymond Jimenez #211661 left the facility today to seek employment through a job service in downtown Lincoln. He did not return. The electronic monitoring device he was wearing was recovered at 7th and B Street.

Missing inmate arrested in Omaha

April 6, 2021(Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) one month ago has been arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol. Amanda Samaroo #99723 was taken into custody on the morning of April 5, 2021 in Omaha. She failed to return to CCC-L on March 4, 2021, after going to an employment agency in downtown Lincoln.

April 5, 2021(Lincoln, Neb.) – Arthur Gales #56059, age 55, died early in the morning on April 3, 2021 at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). His sentence started December 9, 2003. Gales was sentenced to death on charges out of Douglas County that included two counts of first degree murder and a count of second degree murder.

April 3, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that five staff members with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) are positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff members are employed at the following locations: Nebraska State Penitentiary (2), Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (1), Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (1) and the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (1). Assault at TSCI sends inmate to hospital

April 3, 2021 (Tecumseh, Neb) – An inmate at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) went to the hospital this morning for the treatment of serious* injuries resulting from an assault by two other inmates. The assault happened in an outside yard, shortly after 11:00 a.m.

During the incident, the injured inmate received cuts and puncture wounds to his arms and torso. Two homemade weapons were recovered by staff members. TSCI was placed on modified operations*...Read more

March 26, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities are looking for an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Eric Kluthe #211330 did not return to his place of employment after a scheduled lunch break on March 25, 2021.

Kluthe’s sentence started March 25, 2020. He was sentenced three years on charges out of Platte County that include strangulation and third degree domestic assault. He has a tentative release date of June 23, 2021.

March 17, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Lincoln police arrested an inmate who left his work assignment and failed to return to the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Tony Smith #89262 was taken into custody at 33rd and O Street on the afternoon of March 16, 2021. He went missing that morning. Following his arrest, he was returned to the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS).
