May 3, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Officers with the Omaha Police Department arrested two inmates who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) on April 29, 2021. Clifford Brown #88039 and Jacob Roeder #210394 left the facility together that morning. They were both taken into custody on May 2, 2021 near 16th and Carter Boulevard in Omaha.

May 1, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Michael Simmons #211242 did not return to the facility this evening after his work shift.

Simmons started his sentence on February 24, 2020. He was sentenced to five years and has a tentative release date of January 7, 2022. Simmons was convicted of operating a motor vehicle during revocation in Saunders County and third degree...Read more

April 29, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about two inmates missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Clifford Brown #88039 and Jacob Roeder #210394 left the facility together shortly after 5:00 a.m. today.

April 28, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate was arrested by members of the Omaha Police Department shortly after notification to authorities that he ran away from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) late last night. Anthony Gonzales #88444 was booked into the Pottawattamie County jail after being taken into custody in Carter Lake, Iowa.

April 27, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Targeted searches of housing units at the Nebraska State Penitentiary were conducted today by staff members from the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). Yesterday, an inmate assaulted a staff member at the penitentiary, resulting in a serious* injury. The inmate involved in that incident was determined to be intoxicated. April 27, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Kentrell Hollins #210747 did not return to the facility from his overnight work assignment.

Hollins started his sentence on December 6, 2019. He was sentenced three to five years for aggravated driving under the influence (fifth offense) out of Douglas County. Hollins has a tentative release date of August 2, 2021 and a parole...Read more

April 25, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Patrick Russell #29333, age 64, died this morning at a Lincoln hospital. He was incarcerated at the Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC).

Russell’s sentence started on February 3, 2017. He was serving 110 years to 126 years for a charge of first degree murder out of Douglas County.
