Being prepared to work upon release is an important component to successful reentry and how we keep people safe. This fall, Reentry Program Manager Tony Britten presented at the Reentry Summit in Florida alongside partners from UNO and grant-funded providers of the Vocational Life Skills (VLS) Program. Scatter Joy Acres provides an opportunity for individuals to find peace and joy in the company of animals, and it’s safe to say there were smiles all around at this event. The mobile petting zoo made a stop at the Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility (NCYF), where team members and the incarcerated population enjoyed spending time outdoors interacting with a variety of animals.
