This month, author and international speaker Baron Warren encouraged men at four NDCS facilities to cross the finish line with his message “from males, to MEN.” His bold speaking style and tough love approach left the men challenged and inspired for greatness.

Author of the book, "The 5 Steps to Manhood," Warren speaks a message of life and hope to audiences across the country. He presented at the Community Correctional Center—Lincoln, the Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility, the Nebraska State Penitentiary and the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution.

Lieutenant (Lt.) Kory Bourquin is a recent recipient of the Supervisor/Manager of the Year Award at the NDCS Annual Awards. Lt. Bourquin demonstrates the ability to lead, supervise and coordinate operations for his team at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP). He has exceptional organizational skills and a strong work ethic. Unit Manager Jonathan Watt was a recipient of the Supervisor/Manager of the Year Award at the recent NDCS Annual Awards. Watt has exceled in a leadership position when he has been placed in an acting Unit Administrator position on multiple occasions. For two decades, Human Resources Manager at Central Office (CO) Linda Bos has been working behind the scenes in hiring, promoting and recruiting. She currently supervises a recruiting team that has grown over the years as a result of her innovative ideas.
