Nursing is the largest health care profession in Nebraska. The nurses who work in a correctional setting face unique challenges but are committed to providing the highest level of care to the incarcerated population daily. The NDCS nurses did an excellent job working hard through the pandemic to ensure that facilities were staying healthy.

With that being said, we celebrate National Nurses Appreciation Week with a proclamation from Gov. Ricketts. Thank you, NDCS nurses for keeping people safe.
