August 17, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) was arrested over the weekend by officers with the Lincoln Police Department. Marcina Norris #392282 was taken into custody on Sunday, August 15, 2021 and returned to the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). She disappeared on August 13, from her job at a downtown Lincoln office building.

August 17, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Steps have been taken to isolate 33 inmates at the Diagnostic and Evaluation Center (DEC), who have recently tested positive for COVID-19. At this time, visitation and volunteer activities have been suspended to further protect the health of inmates, staff members and others who might enter that facility.

August 14, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Michael Louis #210577 left his work assignment the evening of August 13, 2021 and removed the electronic monitoring device he had been wearing.

Louis started his sentence on November 7, 2019. He was sentenced to five years for charges out of Gage County that include fourth offense driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license...Read more

August 13, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Marcina Norris #392282 left her job at an office building in downtown Lincoln. Clothing belonging to her was found in a nearby parking garage, but she could not be located.

Lucas Hoffman #211853 disappeared on Friday, August 6, 2021 when he did not return from his work assignment in the community. He was arrested by the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Frakes announced that an inmate in his 40s died Thursday, August 12, 2021 at a hospital in Lincoln. The inmate tested positive for COVID-19 prior to being hospitalized. In addition to the coronavirus, he had other medical conditions.

August 12, 2021 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Melvin Grimes #210461 left the facility shortly after 10 a.m. this morning.

Grimes started his sentence on March 15, 2021. He was sentenced to two years for multiple counts of shoplifting out of Douglas County. Grimes has a tentative release date of December 10, 2021. He is a 54-year old black man, 6’, 240 lbs., with black hair and brown...Read more
