Today's #TeammateTuesday goes out to Hattie Bolar, a programming specialist at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). Bolar was selected as a recipient of the 2022 TSCI Warden’s Award for Proficiency and Performance. Since beginning to facilitate non-clinical programs at TSCI in July of 2022, Bolar has demonstrated unwavering positivity in the face of every challenge.

As her award states, “You set out each day to help incarcerated persons make positive changes in their lives. Your efforts impact those graduates, the team members they interact with each day, and their support systems in the community.”...Read more

Congratulations to these men at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) who recently completed the 12-week program using the principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, tailored for the incarcerated individual.

Participants learn to be proactive, understand the power of their choices and become positive role models for their families and friends. The program invites participants to do the difficult personal work that truly leads to transformation in their lives and environment. Well done, graduates! #BuildYourFuture

Hats off to the graduates on a job well done! The commencement ceremony this month at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) recognized men who have completed requirements for a high school diploma or GED, plus one graduate who received a bachelor’s degree.

Employment is one of the pillars of successful reentry. This spring, team members from the Community Corrections Center - Lincoln (CCC-L) toured a local company that employs individuals at CCC-L who are on work release.
