Tears were shed and laughs filled the room as the Water Walkers group at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women held a performance titled “Jungle Booked.”

The group demonstrated what it looks like when you always put good choices first.

The performance illustrated the life of a newly incarcerated individual and the different characters that one meets while incarcerated.

It described an epic tale of what dangers lie around every corner even when help is right in front of you.

For many, the story tells of how difficult it can be to reach out for help even when it is staring you in the face.

Cast told a compelling story of what happens when you turn down the wrong path or when you seek wisdom form the right people.

The play aimed to plant a seed of hope for the possibility of a fulfilling life after being incarcerated.
