These men at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) have taken the first step to build a successful construction career. As graduates of the OSHA general industry course, they are ready to master additional courses offered by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), including applied construction math and other core curriculum classes that will grow their foundation in the field. Connie, a 16-month-old cane corso, was recently welcomed to the Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility (NCYF). The Nebraska Humane Society team visited NCYF this summer to complete orientation with the men selected to become primary and secondary dog handlers.

Connie is one of three canines currently at NCYF, where these men foster dogs who need some extra care to be adoption ready.
