NDCS Honor Guard sponsoring golf tournament for Correctional Peace Officers Foundation

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services will be sponsoring its third annual golf tournament to raise money for the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation (CPOF).

CPOF is a national nonprofit organization that aids correctional staff members in times of need as well as supports the families of Correctional Officers who lose their lives in the pursuit of their careers.

Recently, CPOF has aided NDCS employees who were affected by the state-wide flooding.

Any Correctional employees who have been affected by the flooding can fill out an application to request aid from CPOF.

In order to raise money to benefit CPOF, The NDCS Honor Guard will hold its golf tournament on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Highlands Golf Course with shotguns starting at 1:00 P.M.

The tournament will be in "Scramble" format and will consist of 18 holes.

Food will be provided at the tournament as well as hole prizes, drawing prizes, and awards for the top teams.

The cost to register is $70 per person and there are $10 Mulligans.

The event is open to the public and its proceeds will benefit CPOF.

NDCS employees, their families, and the public can register for the golf tournament by April 26, 2019 by contacting Sharlene Most at Sharlene.Most@nebraska.gov.
