Smiles reaching ear to ear are seen on babies, toddlers, kids, high schoolers, moms and dads and other family members.

Family Fun Day was held at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) in late December 2018 to give incarcerated individuals and their loved ones time together to connect as a family.

These opportunities help keep relationships strong and are beneficial for the children, family members and the individuals living at NSP.

Families got a chance to play games, shoot basketballs, sit and chat, and more.

More than 35 families participated in this recent event.

NSP says they try to hold Family Fun Days around times that are convenient for the kids who attend, so they don't have to miss school to participate.
