CJC completes 7th Restorative Justice class

Thanks to the Community Justice Center (CJC) for offering its 7th series of three 90-minute “Emotional Hygiene/Anger” sessions. Thirty-four men at NDCS Diagnostic and Evaluation Center in Lincoln successfully completed the course. The course aims to explore the root of emotions, accountability, responsibility, and management of those areas.

Of the 34 participants, 94 percent rated the sessions as excellent, and 59 percent cited having gained insight into their emotional hygiene and the three sources of anger.

One participant reflected, “Because even today I could have used my understanding of emotional hygiene to de-escalate an anger situation.”

Another participant echoed, “It helped me to identify skills on how to deal with my problems in the future and past.”

The Community Justice Center (CJC) is a nonprofit, public safety organization offering classes addressing the needs of victims, offenders, and their communities, to correctional institutions and adult probation within Nebraska.
