There’s nothing like running out of something, just when you need it. During COVID-19, there was a lot of that going around (remember the toilet paper shortage?). Fortunately, NDCS could rely on its purchasing team to ensure that critical supplies were on hand.

A.J. Divis, Kyla Black and Kate Severin were among members of the NDCS purchasing team recognized by Gov. Pete Ricketts with the “Excellence in Leadership” award. The purchasing team was nominated for its collective efforts throughout COVID-19 to meet the needs of staff members, incarcerated individuals and external state agencies. When shortages of PPE and other supplies occurred, these team members immediately began an exhaustive process to obtain the supplies and equipment necessary to keep the facilities healthy and secure. Other members of the purchasing group include: Peggy Arp, Rhonda Bayne, Chris Kliment, Diane Poppert, Danielle Reynolds, & Mark Rumery. Thank you all!
