Process improvement project preserves department history
The history of an organization has direct bearing on its future. It serves as the basis for the company’s culture and provides a benchmark for progress.
While NDCS has maintained a timeline of events on its website, a process improvement project was undertaken to make the historical record more robust.
As part of that process, stakeholders were interviewed who had long-standing knowledge of the department. The idea was not only to record significant events, but also make the timeline a useful reference in documents, reports, manuals and other communications utilized by NDCS.
The result not only helps agency leadership, but also provides background to new employees and context as to how we operate today. #COEMonth
