IN THE SPOTLIGHT:  Reentry Support Specialist Sindy Baldwin hands out fans and talks to a little girl at the recent corrections night at a Saltdogs game at Haymarket Park.  Baldwin began her career with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) in 2014 with the NDCS County Jail Initiative. From there, she joined the legal division as Word Processing Specialist II. To continue her growth and increase in knowledge, she promoted to Records Officer at the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln. She continues to gain new skills with the reentry unit, where she is responsible for tracking and reporting reentry planning data, scheduling reentry meetings and planning sessions, maintaining the functioning of the reentry office and various other tasks and special projects.  “I love working with an amazing team that continually goes above and beyond to provide the best reentry planning services to our incarcerated population,” Baldwin said. “In this position, I have opportunities to expand my knowledge, as well as demonstrate my professional skills in new ways. I appreciate the challenges that sometimes arise in my position and enjoy utilizing my critical thinking skills. I love learning and I enjoy learning something new each day.”  #NDCSTeamMemberSpotlight
