CJC Completes 61st and 62nd Restorative Justice Class at LCC
On May 8th and 10th, the Community Justice Center (CJC) completed its 61st Lincoln Correctional Center (Restrictive Housing C-Unit) “Restorative Justice - Victims Impact/Empathy (Life Skills) Class”. Eighty percent of class participants rated the class excellent, with eighty three percent showing some level of empathy and/or insight in the effects their actions on their victims/community. Of the class, one participant said, “It helps with a lot of issues with identifying the past wreckages and Emotional Hygiene (how to process emotions).”
In addition, on May 9th, the Community Justice Center (CJC) completed its 62nd Lincoln Correctional Center (General Population) “Restorative Justice - Victims Impact Empathy (Life Skills) Class”. One hundred percent of class participants rated the class excellent, with sixty seven percent showing some level of empathy and/or insight in the effects their actions on their victims/community. After completing the class, one participant said, “I got a better understanding of how many victims I have, the harm I've caused.”
