NDCS staff members test positive for COVID-19

May 8, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Today, Director Scott R. Frakes announced that two staff members at the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). Both staff members are employed at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP). They are self-isolating at home.

Inmate missing from community correctional facility

May 1, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). Allen Webster #210752 was discovered missing shortly after count was conducted at the facility this morning.

NDCS staff members injured in assault

April 28, 2020 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate assaulted two staff members at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) shortly after 9:00 a.m. on April 28, 2020. Both members sustained serious* injuries.
