Week 1 is in the books for Class 123 and it’s safe to say this class has picked up an incredible amount of knowledge in just one week! 

After day 1 at Central Office, they transitioned to the Staff Training Academy for an orientation to NDCS, a correctional communications class and a two-day Core Correctional Practices course, which equips correctional workers with the skills to support a culture of cognitive behavioral programming in their day-to-day duties. 

They also mastered a defensive driving class and became familiar with the department’s online training platform, a tool they will utilize throughout their NDCS careers.
