Kudos to the group of six gentlemen who recently graduated from a first-of-its-kind program at NDCS.

Participants in New Freedom completed a 12-week curriculum designed to increase their own personal growth, activate lifestyle change and prepare them to become peer-facilitators. The program is unique in that it tackles the issue of gang affiliation, how to break those ties and criminal activity. 

Together with sponsors from the Community Justice Center, participants devoted numerous hours to facilitation training and are now prepared to work with future New Freedom participants. Many thanks to the NDCS staff members who assisted with implementation of this program as well as the executive staff of CJC. #MakeADifference
