Celebrating the retirement of Jeff Salomons
Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC)/Diagnostic and Evaluation Center/Community Corrections Center – Lincoln, safety specialist, Jeff Salomons. With over 35 years at NDCS, Salomons began his career in March of 1986 at the LCC. He’s held positions such as corporal, sergeant and unit caseworker before becoming a safety specialist. Salomons was also in the 24th Medical Unit of the Nebraska National Guard. His last day with the department is August 27, 2021.
His years of safety knowledge and his ability to relate to all team members will be missed by all. His team members note that he is excellent at relationship building, has a positive attitude, is a team player, always had a joke to tell and can make anyone laugh. Salomons was known as a “big brother” to many in the department.
Throughout his career, Salomons has lived by the advice he was given on his first day with the department: “Treat others how you would want to be treated if you were in prison.”
Please take a moment with us to thank Salomons for his years of service to NDCS and wish him the very best on his future endeavors. Thank you, Salomons, for all that you have done!
