Women assist National Guard to distribute PPE
A group of women at the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln (CCC-L) have been working hard to help make sure medical facilities across Nebraska have sufficient PPE supplies. Five days a week the women spend eight hours a day assisting the Nebraska National Guard at the State Surplus warehouse load and unload boxes of PPE in the Nebraska summer heat. They are also helping load pallet jacks, package units and organize the warehouse.
“It’s hard work but it gets us out of the center and it’s good to know we are helping people,” said one of the workers.
A representative from the governor’s office stopped by recently with treats to show their appreciation for the important work the women are doing. #TellOurStory #HelpingOthers
