On March 28, 2019, The Lincoln Correctional Center hosted motivational speaker Kevin Kush who delivered a powerful presentation on the “Doors of Opportunity” to a gymnasium full of both incarcerated individuals and staff.

Kush identified the steps to getting opportunities to present themselves and how to go for those opportunities.

"It’s up to you to take advantage of the opportunities presented to you and to look for those open doors" Kush told those in attendance.

On top of being a 30-year educator and former Boys Town football coach, Kush is an author and has a passion for inspiring and motivating others.

Kush has been featured on ABC World News Tonight as their Person of the Week. He has authored three books that speak on a variety of topics such as teamwork, motivating youth, overcoming adversity, making big decisions, and respect.  

Many of the attendees said they walked away awe-inspired by Kush’s message.
