“You can’t climb this high, and forget all that you’ve accomplished to get here.” One of the peer facilitators of New Freedom offered these words to the program’s graduating class at the Reception and Treatment Center this week. A former graduate of the program, he credited New Freedom for providing a community that supports one another and shows others there is a better, more positive way.

Together with the sponsors from the Community Justice Center - Restorative Justice/Public Safety Organization (CJC), the participants completed a 12-week curriculum designed to increase their own personal growth, activate lifestyle change and prepare them to become peer facilitators for future New Freedom classes. You could hear the passion from all three peer facilitators and the staff of CJC when they spoke at the graduation ceremony.
