IN THE SPOTLIGHT:  Captain Jared Kolarik puts up a QDIP board in his office at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP). Kolarik has been with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) since 2006. His main job duties include supervising day shift team members, handling investigations and critical incident reviews and hiring new team members.  

"In the pursuit of eliminating wickedness from the world I enjoy being part of a system that holds people accountable, and by being a public servant I can strive for atonement relative to my own past transgressions," Kolarik said. "It’s important to me that I give the taxpayer a good value for each dollar."
