IN THE SPOTLIGHT:
Transportation Corporal Daryl Hinz heads out on a hour transportation run in the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) bus. He was on his way to pick up incarcerated individuals from their detail employment at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP), Cornhusker State Industries and NSP Construction Maintenance.
Hinz has been with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) since 2004. He started his employment with NDCS at NSP and transferred to CCC-L in 2014. His main job duty is transporting incarcerated individuals throughout the Lincoln community to their detail and work release employment, medical appointments and programming. He also assists the facility with conducting searches and observing meal lines.
“I enjoy being able to do a wide variety of duties and being able to assist the facility with anything needed,” Hinz said.
