Unit Manager Cheryl Bicknase speaks with a central control corporal at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW).
Bicknase has been with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) since 2007. Her main duties include managing a general population housing unit, supervising team members, tending to the populations day-to-day needs, and monitoring movement within the facility.
“It’s interesting work,” Bicknase said. “You’d like to think that something you do will connect with somebody so they make better choices; so they don’t come back.”
