Ladies at NCCW volunteer for Chapter 25 and Orphan Grain Train

The ladies at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW) in York teamed up with Chapter 25 from Lincoln and the Orphan Grain Train to help package and prepare for shipment meals for those in need.  Chapter 25 purchases and packages meals that are ready to eat by simply adding water.  These meals are sent to areas in need whether from natural disasters, emergencies, or areas where food is not available (third world countries).  They then team up with the Orphan Grain train out or Norfolk to help in distribution of the meals.  Both Chapter 25 and the Orphan Grain Train are nonprofit volunteer based programs.  Once a year the two organizations come to NCCW and many of the ladies volunteer in packaging the meals, this year they packaged and boxed 4,496 meals.
