Incarcerated individuals at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) are participating in the Hero’s Journey Prison Writing Project.

The Hero’s Journey Prison Writing Project is a volunteer-based writing program intended to help inmates explore their lives more honestly, reinterpret their motives and behaviors so they might have a more beneficial incarceration and, ultimately, be one of the programs which facilitates their successful transition into society.

This is a 14-week class and this is the third cohort of students in the program. Overall, 17 incarcerated individuals have already completed the course at NSP.
