Governor Pete Ricketts spent Wednesday afternoon with Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) teammates and incarcerated women at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW).
The governor visited a Metropolitan Community College (MCC) Vocational and Life Skills (VLS) class, the Cornhusker State Industries (CSI) sewing shop, the nursery and the cafeteria, in addition to holding a question and answer session with NDCS teammates working a variety of different jobs.
“Every facility has its own distinct culture and the work Warden Denise Davidson is doing here is fantastic,” Gov. Ricketts said. “The Department of Correctional Services is so important to our overall vision to grow Nebraska.”
