You’re probably thinking, what does this fact have to do with NDCS? Well that’s a great question! These little sticky notes are an integral part of process improvement projects here at NDCS.

During the Measure (M) phase of the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, project teams formed by a process improvement coordinator and other NDCS teammates create a process map that visually represents the activities performed during a particular process. Their different perspectives are imperative to mapping the process and capturing each step. 

The photo shows a colorful collage of sticky notes, and each color represents a different person who plays a role in the process. Each individual note represents a single step/task involved to complete the process. The DMAIC methodology has been used to complete a number of process improvement projects across the department.
