Facilitating Change: TSCI Warden’s Award for Proficiency and Performance

Today's #TeammateTuesday goes out to Hattie Bolar, a programming specialist at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI). Bolar was selected as a recipient of the 2022 TSCI Warden’s Award for Proficiency and Performance. Since beginning to facilitate non-clinical programs at TSCI in July of 2022, Bolar has demonstrated unwavering positivity in the face of every challenge.

As her award states, “You set out each day to help incarcerated persons make positive changes in their lives. Your efforts impact those graduates, the team members they interact with each day, and their support systems in the community.”

Bolar is a self-starter who takes initiative to ensure her T4C, 7 Habits on the Inside and Moral Reconation Therapy classes run effectively. She has also helped develop the skills of several peer facilitators, offering them an opportunity to give back to others in their community and deliver a message from the perspective of a peer.

This award was presented to Bolar by the participants of her Thinking for a Change (T4C) class. Congratulations and thank you for everything you do! #NDCSEvents #BuildYourFuture
