CSI Spotlight: Print Shop
CSI Spotlight: Print Shop
The hum of printers can be heard throughout the shop, while a team puts the finishing touches on the graphics for a project. Stacks of paper, signs and plaques sit ready to be shipped to customers across Nebraska.
It’s another day at the full-service CSI print shop located at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC).
On average, the shop employs 25 incarcerated men, who learn valuable skills in graphic design and printing. Their work with CSI prepares them for employment in a variety of fields upon their return to the community.
The design team works with customers to create a wide range of print and bindery projects. Among the shop’s most popular items are yard signs, custom outdoor signage and all kinds of banners. A state-of-the-art digital press prints full color for a variety of printing requests. Last year, the shop added a laser engraver, allowing the team to engrave 25 different types of materials and elevate any award or plaque.
For years, state agencies, counties, schools and nonprofits have discovered the significant benefits from partnering with CSI for their printing needs, including dependability, competitive pricing, excellent quality, creative designs, a wide selection and large production capacity.
