Community Justice Center (CJC) completes its 24th class

The Community Justice Center (CJC) completed its 24th Restorative Justice Intervention “Crime Victims Impact/Empathy (Life Skills) Class” at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) in December. Eighty-six percent of class participants rated the class as excellent.

One participant said of the class, “It gave me insights, solutions on how to deal with my problems better without using drugs or committing crimes.” Another participant said of what he learned, “I hurt a lot more than I thought. I learned I am important and can fix myself.”

The CJC is a nonprofit public safety organization, which has been working with NDCS since 2001. CJC offers institutional and community programming that serves the needs of victims, incarcerated individuals and the community.
