CJC Completes 76th Restorative Justice Intervention Class at NSP
The Community Justice Center (CJC) completed its 76th Restorative Justice Intervention (RJI) “Crime Victims Impact/Empathy" class at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) in December. Seventy-five percent of those who took part rated the class as excellent.
One of the participants remarked, “This workshop really helped me clarify the impact my crime had on everything. Family, friends and the public.” Another participant said that by taking part “you see how you hurt everyone, not just one person.”
The Community Justice Center (CJC) is a nonprofit public safety organization, which has been working with NDCS since 2001. CJC offers institutional and community programming that serves the needs of victims, incarcerated individuals and the community.
