CCC-L Women's Cooking Class
Here’s a tip you might not know… It’s better to pour chocolate chips into the batter, rather than sprinkling them on top when making pancakes.
That’s just one of many techniques women at the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) learned during a cooking class taught by 35-year food industry veteran, Food Service Specialist Edward Bowman.
The class began with classroom instruction, followed by a test over the material that they learned. Moving into the kitchen, the women decided on what they were going to cook up. The tasty decision was chocolate chip pancakes, sausage and eggs. After pulling the ingredients and mixing it all together, the food turned out looking scrumptious!
Much discussion and laughter was shared, as the women had a good time learning various cooking techniques and recipe combinations.
Thank you to CCC-L Food Service Specialist Edward Bowman for making time to teach these helpful skills. #MakeADifference #PositiveChange
