Ryan Gilbride was appointed general counsel in August 2021. In this position, he is responsible for managing and directing the NDCS Legal Division, which provides advice and guidance on legal and administrative matters affecting the agency.

Gilbride previously represented NDCS and its teammates in civil litigation as an assistant attorney general for the State of Nebraska. He also served as an administrative hearing officer with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. 

Gilbride is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and hold a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law.
